Who we are

G4 Alumni is an independent, people-first network created by former members of Golin’s Creative, Catalyst, Connector, and Explorer/Strategist communities.

We’re colleagues, collaborators, and friends who want to stay connected and support each other as we navigate whatever comes next—new roles, new projects, new ideas, or entirely new chapters.

This community exists because the relationships we built together don’t disappear when our time at the agency ends. They evolve.

Our Purpose

To stay connected.

To help one another succeed.

To make the next step feel a little less uncertain.

The alumni community is here to:

  • Share job leads and freelance opportunities

  • Connect people with similar skills or interests

  • Offer feedback on portfolios, resumes, and pitches

  • Highlight independent work and side projects

  • Create a supportive space for checking in, venting, and celebrating progress

  • Keep friendships alive across cities, time zones, and new workplaces

This isn’t a formal organization. It’s simply a place where good people look out for one another.

What We Do

We host our community primarily on Discord, where verified alumni can:

  • Join channels dedicated to job postings, freelance gigs, and upcoming opportunities

  • Tap into a mix of strategists, creatives, connectors, and catalysts for skill-sharing

  • Participate in casual conversations, community check-ins, and virtual meetups

  • Access shared resources, templates, and advice crowdsourced from peers

As the community grows, we’ll add optional features like:

  • A member directory (opt-in only)

  • Alumni spotlights

  • A freelance showcase

  • Resource libraries

  • Mentorship pairings

This is a community built to evolve with the people in it.

Who Can Join

G4 Alumni is open to anyone no longer employed by or associated with Omnicom/IPG/Golin who:

  • Previously worked at Golin or within its associated groups (Brooklyn Brothers, DeVries, Virgo, etc.)

  • Was part of the Creative, Catalyst, Connector, or Explorer/Strategist communities (or worked alongside them)

  • Wants to participate in a supportive, collaborative network

We welcome people from all disciplines, departments, and levels.

If your time at the agency was meaningful—or even if it was complicated—but you’re ready for a community that has your back, you belong here.

If you are still affiliated with Golin/IPG/Omnicom, you’re not eligible to join yet but we’ll keep a seat warm for you. In the meantime, keep creating, exploring, connecting, catalyzing, and building those friendships, memories, and skills that will be with you for the rest of your lifetime.

How We Keep This a Safe Space

We want G4 Alumni to be a place where people feel comfortable sharing, asking, supporting, and being human.

To maintain that environment, we keep a few simple boundaries:

  • We don’t discuss internal HR processes or confidential information.

  • We don’t re-litigate severance, layoffs, or past disputes.

  • We avoid topics that could be construed as legal, sensitive, or competitively strategic.

  • We respect everyone’s privacy—no screenshots, no forwarding conversations.

  • We verify members to ensure this community stays alumni-only and people-focused.

These aren’t rules to stifle conversation—they’re the guardrails that let us show up honestly, generously, and without worry.

A note on independence

G4 Alumni is a fully independent alumni community.

We are not affiliated with Golin, Interpublic Group (IPG), or Omnicom.

We exist solely to support one another and do not discuss confidential or internal company information.

Why do we exist?

Because you are not the first to have exited the G4 environment and missed the community of peers and network of support and kindness that made the company’s culture, at one time, great.

We created this space because we wished it existed when we found ourselves on the wrong side of a “quick check-in” with our boss or with HR. We know what that loss of place and identity and direction feels like. And we want to offer informal support for those who are feeling that now.
